R|Short Program: K’gari Field Trip FAQs

The program is limited to 10 participants.

This program is for practising artists with a demonstrated interest in using creative technologies. It is expected that there will be a breadth of experience and skill levels amongst the participants.

The fee for this all-inclusive 4 day/ 3 night experience is $1500 (+ GST).
Payments are to be paid in full by Friday 4th July or via a two-instalment payment plan*
*Payment plan instalments are due 13th June and 4th July -
Participants will be staying at the UniSC K'gari Research Station in cabin accommodation. Bathroom facilities are shared with one other program participant. Bedding and towels are provided.

All meals will be vegetarian and are catered for by Nooks and Cooks. Participants are welcome to bring their own snacks however it is the responsibility of individual visitors to remove their own rubbish from the island. Other dietary needs and allergies can be accommodated with prior notice.

4WD transport is provided.

Due to limited space at the K'gari Research Station this program is not suitable for partners and/or children to attend.

Participants are required to attend the full 4 day/ 3 night program.

This program is covered by UniSC's public liability insurance. The participant takes part in the event at their own risk. Participants can arrange personal insurance (including accident, travel and property) at their own discretion.

Selected participants will receive an information package with a full list of what is required for the trip.
Please note - due to the time of year, cold weather is to be expected.
Extra bedding and appropriate winter clothing is highly recommended

Selected participants will receive a program schedule. Due to tides influencing travel around the island, the program schedule can be subject to change and some flexibility is required.
