About R|Masterclass
R|Masterclass: From Mundane to Majestic - with Rachel Burke
Be brave and bold with Brisbaneโs Queen of Colour, Rachel Burke in this fun-filled Masterclass transforming a mundane pantry box into a majestic handbag.
Rachelโs vibrant, tactile and shiny wearable pieces have adorned celebrities and re-ignited a love of craft and naive materials among her followers. Working across fashion, accessories, installation, theatre and book publishing, Rachelโs cross disciplinary practice and signature style will dazzle and delight fans of colour, costume, craft and the unconventional.
In this one-day Masterclass, she brings her love for upcycling and courageous creative play (โpla-pla) to the Coast guiding you through the design, technique and execution phases of taking a pantry box from the recycle bin all the way to the red carpet.
