The Dreaming CollectiveCarly Forrest, a dedicated advocate for Indigenous businesses, draws upon over a decade of professional experience to empower First Nations entrepreneurs. With a Bachelor of Business Management & HRM, Carly's journey began in community engagement at Buranga Centre, USC, and leadership roles at QUT. She later contributed to education at TAFE QLD East Coast and conducted First Nations research at the School of Education, UQ.
In May 2023, Carly launched The Dreaming Collective, aiming to bolster Indigenous-owned businesses' growth through strategic operations while promoting cultural respect in non-Indigenous sectors. Notable clients include Ochre Sun, First Nations Bush Foods and Botanical Alliance, and Sunshine Coast Council. Her expertise encompasses leadership, stakeholder relations, brand development, and marketing communication. Carly's commitment extends to mentorship, public speaking, and advocacy, evident through her board and committee engagements. She epitomises collaboration, empowerment, and cultural sensitivity, leaving a lasting impact on Indigenous entrepreneurship and community development.

With a background in advertising, design and photography, he has built a creative career in various regions and sectors. Marvin is currently a Design Sprint Facilitator at the QUT Centre for Future Enterprise, working with a team of UX researchers and business design specialists to deliver digital solutions for industry clients.

StartUp CreativeKaylene Langford is a passionate entrepreneur, coach, writer and speaker, and the founder and owner of StartUp Creative, a hugely popular online platform, podcast, and print magazine that educates, inspires and supports creative entrepreneurs and future innovators. Kaylene has over a decade of experience coaching, educating and supporting individuals to identify and achieve their goals. Working with aspiring and established entrepreneurs, she genuinely believes that everyone has the ability to achieve their potential. She’s worked with leading brands such as Squarespace, Canva and is a highly sought after keynote speaker and author of her first book ‘How to Start a Side Hustle’.

Moffat CreativeAmie Moffat is a Creative Producer and has carved out a successful 20-year career in the Creative Industries working in both Australia and New Zealand as a facilitator, arts educator and producer.
Amie studied at the Victorian College of the Arts and Swinburne University in Melbourne Victoria. She has also completed certificates in facilitation with Zenergy.
Her recent work history includes; LEOTC Educator at Corban Estate Arts Centre and producer for Red Leap Theatre in Auckland. After moving to the Sunshine Coast in 2016 she worked for The Maroochydore Revitalisation Association as the Creative Projects Manager and established her own company Moffat Creative as independent producer where she has contracted to APAM, Sunshine Coast Council and PANNZ. She was the Senior Festival Producer for Horizon Festival. She is currently the Executive Producer of PANNZ.

Cholena is a Koa descendant, born on Turrbal Country (Brisbane), grew up on Kabi Kabi Country (Bribie Island) and has been living on Jinibara Country (Mt Mellum) now for more than 17 years. A Visual Artist, she works across many mediums and methods of making, including cyanotype, printmaking, drawing, painting, weaving, and ceramics. Cholena’s previously worked for TAFE Queensland as a Visual Arts and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts teacher and an Education Officer at Woodford Correctional Centre.

Liz Burcham has extensive experience in the commercial, government and NFP sectors of the creative industries as creative producer and business leader.Career highlights include Cultural Director for the City of Newcastle, responsible for the city’s cultural strategy, contributing to the city’s urban renewal; CEO of Metro Arts, a Brisbane-based contemporary arts space dedicated to the development of artists and contemporary practice, where over her 11-year tenure Liz developed Metro Arts into a nationally respected organisation providing a leading platform of infrastructure, incubator and producing services for performing and visual artists; and Content Director for Seven Network’s entry into digital services.

Dr Toby Gifford is a designer, creative coder, and interdisciplinary media arts practitioner, with a particular interest in virtual/augmented reality and immersive installation. He has worked across industry and academia at the intersection of art and technology, with extensive professional experience in software programming and systems design. His research spans a broad range of areas including: application of artificial intelligence to the creative industries; environmental sensing for ecosystem health monitoring; and modelling and data visualisation to aid design.

Liz’s career has encompassed roles in local government, museums, public art, and studio contexts including Curator and Artist Development at Parramatta Artists’ Studios; Curator for Urban Art Projects in Shanghai and Philanthropy and VisAsia Coordinator for The Art Gallery of New South Wales.
